Anesthesia Hotline Survey
This survey aims to assess the need for establishing an organization that could link anesthesia experts to the anesthesia providers who need help in managing intraoperative critical incidents favorably. The idea is providing free real-time and timely guidance over the phone or internet by anesthesia experts. The proposed organization, which is called “Relief Anesthesia Hotline Association” or RAHA, intends to advance patient safety by improving the outcome of intraoperative critical incidents. RAHA, if established, will assist with the management of all intraoperative critical incidents except Malignant Hyperthermia as this has already been addressed by the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the US (MHAUS).
Please take the opportunity to complete this survey. It will take about 7 minutes of your time. Your contributions to this effort and to the profession are greatly appreciated.
All responses are anonymous and are kept confidential. Only the aggregate data will be used to determine the need to the proposed organization.
Please note for the purposes of this survey an intraoperative critical incident is defined as an intraoperative event or situation that creates a significant risk of serious harm to the physical or mental well-being of a patient, is unexpected and is difficult to diagnose and/or manage.
